Gov. Abba Kabir-Yusuf of Kano State has urged youths to intensify grassroots mobilisation and sensitisation to secure President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Yusuf made the call on Wednesday at the grand unveiling of 528 youth ambassadors of Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) in Kano.
He commended the youths for their commitment and loyalty to Tinubu’s re-election bid, expressing confidence in their ability to mobilise voters across the state’s 44 Local Government Areas and 484 wards.
The governor urged the ambassadors to sensitise residents on the importance of participating in the forthcoming general elections.
He said the Tinubu administration had recorded achievements in infrastructure, agriculture and youth development across Kano, the North-West zone, Northern Nigeria and the country at large.
Kabir-Yusuf urged the ambassadors to sustain their support for the President, adding that his success would translate into the success of Nigerians.
He also assured them of the state government’s support for their mobilisation efforts and encouraged them to remain committed to their political objectives.
The Director-General of A4A, Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru, expressed confidence that the North would deliver massive votes for Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Badaru, a former Minister of Defence, and ex-Governor of Jigsaw, said the ambassadors would mobilise support for the president across Kano’s 44 local government areas and 484 wards by showcasing his administration’s projects and empowerment programmes.
He said the campaign would focus on the administration’s achievements rather than propaganda.
Also speaking, the A4A State Coordinator in Kano and former Minister of State for Housing, Abdullahi Tijjani-Gwarzo, said the ambassadors were carefully selected based on their integrity.
Tijjani-Gwarzo said they would highlight projects executed across the North and work with ward-level agents to mobilise votes for Tinubu’s re-election.
