Princess Hauwa Tanimu-Aduda, has expressed readiness to work with the Business Women of Influence – Renewed Hope Agenda (BWI-RHA) towards empowering Nigerian women and create opportunities for them to contribute meaningfully to national development.
She made the commitment when a delegation of the BWI-RHA, led by its Director of Media and Publicity, Evelyn Onyilo, paid her courtesy visit in Abuja.
BWI-RHA leadership also used the occasion to formally install Aduda and her husband Sen. Tanimu Aduda as its FCT Matron and Patron respectively.
According to the group, the appointment is in a further recognition of the Aduda family’s commitment to leadership, service and community development.
Speaking,Aduda assured the delegation of her cooperation and support for the organisation’s programmes and initiatives, particularly its efforts to empower Nigerian women and create opportunities for them to contribute meaningfully to national development.
She expressed gratitude to the BWI-RHA FCT members for the courtesy call and the honour bestowed on her and her husband.
She also promised to convey the messages of solidarity and goodwill from the BWI-RHA FCT members to her husband, while expressing appreciation for the confidence reposed in them by the organisation.
Earlier, members of the delegation expressed appreciation to the couple for their warm reception and willingness to identify with the vision of BWI-RHA.
In her remark, the FCT Coordinator, Ziyak Yakubu, expressed appreciation on behalf of the group for the hospitality extended to the delegation and conveyed BWI-RHA’s anticipation of a fruitful relationship with the Aduda family.
According to her, the group looks forward to benefiting from the guidance, support and experience of its new FCT Matron and Patron as it continues to advance its vision of women’s empowerment, inclusive leadership and sustainable development.
The visit provided an opportunity for the organisation to formally introduce its vision and reaffirm its commitment to promoting women’s empowerment, leadership development, entrepreneurship and meaningful participation of women in nation-building.(NAN)
