
The Oyo State
house of Assembly, on Thursday, approved an additional N210 billion for the state’s 2026 budget.
The Supplementary Finance Bill, 2026 was passed during plenary following the adoption of the report from the House Committee on Finance, Appropriation and State Economic Planning.
The Chairman of the committee, Mr Sunkanmi Babalola, representing Egbeda State Constituency, presented the report to the House, saying the Bill was considered clause by clause.
Babalola said that inputs from the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning and projections in the Oyo State Medium Term Expenditure Framework were also taken into account.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that with the new approval, the total budget for 2026 rises from N892.09 billion to N1.1 trillion
The committee recommended that the N210 billion be drawn from the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Oyo State for the year ending Dec. 3. (NAN)(NAN)
