Amaraegbu said the award was presented to Igbokwe in recognition of his commitment to promoting peace, love and humanitarian support among Nigerians and beyond.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Zik International Peace and Leadership Award is a Pan-African organisation that recognises well-meaning Igbo and Nigerian personalities for their humanitarian services and contributions to nation-building.

Igbokwe, while thanking the organisers for finding him worthy of the honour, reaffirmed his commitment to promoting peace, love and support for vulnerable members of society.

He said his humble background inspired him to establish the foundation and dedicate himself to supporting people in need, adding that his personal experiences shaped his passion for humanitarian service.

Igbokwe recalled the challenges he encountered while growing up, saying the experiences strengthened his determination to become a blessing to others and contribute positively to society.

According to him, the appreciation he receives from beneficiaries of the foundation’s programmes serves as a major motivation for him to continue his humanitarian activities.

He also expressed gratitude to his family for their unwavering support and encouragement over the years, noting that their backing had contributed significantly to his humanitarian efforts.

Igbokwe said the Chris Igbokwe Foundation remained focused on helping people and making meaningful positive impacts in communities, while calling on government and other stakeholders to support its growing humanitarian initiatives.

He described transparency as one of the foundation’s major strengths and assured supporters that its activities would remain open and accountable.

He expressed hope that the foundation would continue to promote love, peace and service to humanity while inspiring others to support people in need.(NAN)
