
The Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Hulayat Omidiran, has congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, on his historic re-election following Saturday’s election.
In a congratulatory message, she described the victory as a reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in his leadership by the people of the state.
This was contained in a statement issued and made available to newsmen on Monday, by the Federal Character Commission Spokesperson, Ademola Lawrence.
In the statement, Omidiran said Oyenbanji’s endorsement at the polls reflected the impact of his administration’s commitment to good governance, inclusive leadership, accountability and people-oriented programmes.
“The re- election of Gov. Oyebanji is a testament to the confidence of the people of Ekiti State in his leadership, vision and commitment to improving the lives of citizens,
“The difference is clear in the impact of his administration, which has continued to promote development, unity and progress”, she said.
The FCC boss emphasised that the governor’s re- election demonstrated that when leaders remain focused on delivering meaningful development and improving citizens welfare, the difference becomes evident through support of the electorate.
She commended Oyebanji for his focus on policies and initiatives aimed at advancing socio-economic growth, improving public services and creating opportunities for the people of Ekiti State.
The FCC Chairman urged the Governor to remain committed to the ideals of inclusive governance.
