As air travel continues to grow, many passengers remain unaware of important safety rules regarding electronic devices and power banks.
One of the most common mistakes made by travelers is placing power banks and certain battery-powered gadgets inside checked baggage.
Power banks and other gadgets contain lithium-ion batteries, which can overheat, malfunction or, in rare cases, catch fire if damaged.
For safety reasons, aviation authorities and airlines generally require passengers to carry power banks in their hand luggage rather than in checked baggage.
Keeping such devices in the aircraft cabin allows crew members to quickly identify and respond to any potential problem.
Passengers are advised to check airline guidelines before travelling and ensure that power banks, spare batteries and other restricted electronic items are packed appropriately.
Understanding and complying with these regulations not only prevents delays during security screening but also contributes to the safety of everyone on board.
Air travel remains one of the safest means of transportation, and following simple safety rules helps maintain that record.
