The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Lagos State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, on Friday inaugurated the Renewed Hope Ambassadors structure in Badagry to facilitate grassroots mobilisation for the 2027 elections.

He said the inauguration of the building and the ward coordinators would provide a solid foundation for the party to emerge victorious in the 2027 elections.

The event held at the Renewed Hope Ambassadors office, Joseph Dosu Road, Badagry, Lagos State.

Hazmat was represented at the event by the APC Deputy Governorship candidate, Ms Damilola James.

Hamzat said he would decentralise public services and strengthen grassroots participation in governance if elected governor of Lagos State.

“Satellite public service offices eatablished across the state’s divisions will bring government services closer to residents.

“This will reduce the need for residents outside the state capital to travel to Alausa to access government services,” he said.

Hamzat also said that he would introduce regular town hall meetings and multiple communication channels to strengthen engagement with residents.

“These measures will ensure that government performance is assessed, division by division, rather than only at the state level,” he said.

Mr Tayo Ayinde, Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, said the inuaguration of the edifice would help support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, Hamzat as Lagos State governor and other APC candidates.

He identified the APC candidates as Ms Damilola James for deputy governor, Sen. Olusegun Onilude for Lagos West, and Mr Joseph Gbenu and Mr Bankole Olatunde for the House of Assembly, Badagry Constituencies I and II, respectively.

Ayinde commended the Badagry Local Government Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Mr Olanrewaju Layode, for donating the building commissioned as the movement’s office.

He also commended Layode for providing campaign vehicles for the 11 ward coordinators and supporting the organisation for the inauguration.

“I urge the newly inaugurated ward coordinators, unit ambassadors and directors to maintain regular communication with their communities and provide accurate information about the candidates and their programmes.

“The office should serve as a centre for coordination and regular meetings.

“I urge the coordinators to maintain the vehicles properly and use them responsibly for grassroots mobilisation across Badagry,” he said.

The Chief of Staff challenged the coordinators to deliver 200,000 votes for the APC in Badagry in the 2027 elections. (NAN)
