Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir-Yusuf, says the All Progressives Congress (APC) has candidates with proven track records for the 2027 general elections.

Yusuf stated this on Wednesday while inaugurating the APC Presidential, Governorship, National and State Assembly Campaign Council for Tarauni Local Government Area.

Represented by his Special Adviser on National and International Relations, Muhammad Yusuf-Jamu, the governor described President Bola Tinubu as the party’s best presidential candidate.

“We have the best product as our presidential candidate, that is Bola Tinubu,” he said.

He said Tinubu’s economic policies had helped rescue and stabilise Nigeria’s economy.

“Any businessman can be able to go to the markets and transact any kind of business,” Yusuf said.

The governor acknowledged that difficult decisions were necessary to prevent the economy from collapsing.

“We urge Nigerians to be patient with the president and the policies of the government. At the end of the day, we will all celebrate,” he assured.

Yusuf also endorsed Nasir Bala-Jaoji as the APC candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing the constituency.

He said the party’s candidates were committed to upholding the rule of law and delivering democratic dividends.

“I urge you to vote for them on the day of the election. Vote APC, from top to bottom,” he said.

Similarly, former Kano State Governor and APC Kano Central Senatorial Candidate, Ibrahim Shekarau, urged campaign council members to intensify grassroots mobilisation.

He urged them to educate voters across the state on the party’s logo to secure votes for its candidates at all levels.

Shekarau said every vote would count in the forthcoming elections.

“On the day of election, you won’t see face of Tinubu, Gov. Kabir-Yusuf and others. You will only see logo or symbol of APC, which is broom,” he said.

Bala-Jaoji called for unity among party members to secure victory in the forthcoming elections.

He pledged to intensify efforts to attract democratic dividends to his constituency if elected to the House of Representatives.

Responding, the Director-General of the campaign council, Sadiq Ado-Shugaba, assured that members would work tirelessly to secure the party’s victory. (NAN)
