) Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta has approved financial assistance for 533 indigenes who graduated from the Nigerian Law School in the 2025 session.
Mr Godfrey Enita, Executive Secretary, Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, announced the approval in a statement on Thursday in Asaba.
Enita said the intervention was designed to support human capital development and reduce the financial burden on newly qualified legal professionals.
He said eligible beneficiaries must submit required documents electronically between July 23 and July 29 to facilitate processing and disbursement.
The documents include the Nigerian Law School admission letter, Certificate of Call to the Bar, valid identification and Local Government identification.
Beneficiaries are also required to submit their bank account details by email to dsbb@deltastate.gov.ng within the stipulated period.
Enita urged eligible graduates to comply with the requirements promptly to avoid delays in processing their financial assistance.
He said the intervention reflected the administration’s commitment to education, professional development and youth empowerment under its MORE Agenda.
“The MORE Agenda places premium on human capital development and the empowerment of young Delta indigenes,” he said.
According to him, the initiative would provide financial relief to newly qualified legal practitioners as they begin their professional careers.
