The Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) has received the Africa International Housing Show (AIHS) Outstanding Industry Partner Award 2026.
REDAN President, Oba Akintoye Adeoye, also received the AIHS Legacy Leadership Award.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the awards were presented at the close of the 20th Africa International Housing Show in Abuja.
The Outstanding Industry Partner Award recognises REDAN’s strong partnership with AIHS and its contributions to the growth of Nigeria’s housing and construction sector.
It also acknowledges the association’s role in advancing the country’s real estate and housing industry.
Oba Adeoye was honoured for his exceptional leadership and significant contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria’s real estate and housing sector.
NAN reports that Adeoye is the “Oluoke”, the paramount ruler of Okeigbo in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The Chairman of the AIHS Board, Mr Suleiman Zarma, a former Minister of Environment and former Minister of State II for Power, Works and Housing, presented the awards.
The awards were received on behalf of REDAN and Oba Adeoye by the association’s Vice-President (North Central), Osilama E. Osilama.
Others present at the event included REDAN’s National Financial Secretary, Dr (Mrs) Lami Ahmed, and the Executive Secretary, Mr John Saka.
NAN reports that the AIHS 2026 awards also honoured other individuals and organisations for their contributions to the housing and real estate industry.
Reacting to the recognition, Oba Adeoye, expressed profound gratitude to his supporters, describing the award as a humbling achievement made possible through their unwavering encouragement and votes.
He thanked everyone who voted, shared the campaign, and mobilised others to support REDAN and his nomination.
He noted that the honour belonged to all who stood by him and the association throughout the process.
Oba Adeoye reaffirmed his commitment to promoting integrity and sustainable development in the housing and real estate sector.(NAN)
