The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) will begin the inauguration of strategic infrastructure projects across the territory on Tuesday as part of activities marking President Bola Tinubu’s third year in office.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, disclosed this on Monday after inspecting some of the completed projects in Abuja.

According to Wike, the inauguration exercise will last for 31 days and feature more than 30 projects across the FCT, including satellite towns.

He said the exercise would commence with the inauguration of the two main carriageways of the Outer Southern Expressway, from Ring Road I Junction to Ring Road II Junction.

Wike added that President Tinubu would personally inaugurate the project, followed by the inauguration of Arterial Road N5 (Obafemi Awolowo Way), from Life Camp Junction to Ring Road III, on Wednesday.

The minister further disclosed that the President would inaugurate FCT Highway 105, linking the Airport Expressway to Kuje, on Thursday.
He said the newly constructed Judges’ Quarters for Court of Appeal Judges in Katampe would be inaugurated on Friday.

Wike commended the contractors involved in the projects for delivering them within the agreed timelines.
“Above all, we are very happy that the residents are also happy,” he said.

The minister explained that key officials in the Tinubu administration would take turns inaugurating the remaining projects from June 9 through the third week of July.

“I want to say that this is my happiest moment and one of the very happy moments of this administration.
“The credit has nothing to do with me but Mr President, who has given the directive and the support for us to go this far,” Wike said.

Other projects scheduled for inauguration include residential quarters for FCT High Court and Federal High Court judges, as well as the Court of Appeal Complex, Abuja Division, located in Daki Biyu.

Also listed for inauguration are Collector Road CN2, linking Yomi Osinbajo Way to Arterial Road N20 (Wole Soyinka Way), and the completed Collector Road C01 in the Institution and Research District.

The administration will also inaugurate the access road bypassing the Airport Second Runway, stretching from Bill Clinton Drive to Tungan Madaki settlement and featuring four-span bridges.

In addition, a water supply network serving Karu and Bwari satellite towns will be commissioned during the 31-day exercise.
