Sen. Abdulaziz Yari, the Director-General, All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, and Nigeria’s Senate President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio, have said that President Tinubu deserves being re-elected.

They made the expression while speaking at the APC presidential campaign rally in Port Harcourt on Saturday.

Yari said that the massive turnout of Rivers people to the rally was a reassurance of their commitment to Tinubu’s re-election.

He thanked APC and the Rainbow Coalition, led by Chief Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, for massively mobilising Rivers people to the rally.

The D-G expressed optimism that Rivers would deliver no fewer than 2.3 million votes for the president during the 2027 election

“What we are seeing here today is not just a crowd, it is a testament to the popularity of our party and the Rainbow Coalition in the state,” he said.

Also speaking, Akpabio said that Tinubu’s achievements in governance had attracted the full confidence of the people.

“We are very hopeful that it is settled in Rivers. The victory of the president in the 2027 election is sure,” he said.

In his speech, Sen. Magnus Abe, the Chairman, Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, described the turnout of Rivers people to the rally as the true picture of Tinubu’s support base in the state.

He said that the Rainbow Coalition had successfully galvanised massive support for the president’s re-election bid.

“The President is doing well for Nigerians, that is why we must unite to return him despite our differences,” he said.

“The Rainbow Coalition has successfully brought together all the political heavyweights in the state under one umbrella to rally support for the president.

“This stadium is full to capacity with people who believe in the message because they are well informed, and are also assets to democracy,” he said.
