

The Kaduna State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Atiku Sankey, alongside members of the State Working Committee, today paid a courtesy and familiarisation visit to the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State Chapter, at the Association’s headquarters in Kaduna.
The visit formed part of the APC leadership’s ongoing engagement with critical stakeholders across the state and provided an opportunity to strengthen relations with the Christian community while seeking prayers, goodwill and support for the continued peace, unity and development of Kaduna State.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Atiku Sankey expressed gratitude to the leadership of CAN for the warm reception accorded to him and his delegation. He underscored the importance of collaboration, mutual respect and understanding among religious, political and community leaders in fostering lasting peace, social harmony and sustainable development across the state.
The APC Chairman reaffirmed the party’s commitment to inclusive engagement and policies that promote the collective wellbeing of all residents, irrespective of religious, ethnic or political affiliations.
In his remarks, the Chairman of CAN in Kaduna State, Rev. Dr. Caleb Bawa Ma’aji, welcomed the APC delegation and commended the leadership for the visit. He reiterated the Association’s commitment to working with relevant stakeholders and government institutions in advancing peace, unity, justice and development throughout the state.
Rev. Dr. Bawa Ma’aji also acknowledged the developmental strides recorded under the administration of Governor Uba Sani, CON, particularly highlighting what he described as the government’s inclusive approach to governance and commitment to infrastructure development across Kaduna State.
The meeting provided an avenue for constructive discussions on issues of mutual interest and reinforced the shared responsibility of all stakeholders in promoting peaceful coexistence, social cohesion and sustainable progress.
The visit further reflects the APC Kaduna State leadership’s commitment to continuous engagement with religious bodies, traditional institutions, community leaders and other strategic stakeholders in pursuit of a more peaceful, united and prosperous Kaduna State.
