Mr Femi Oyelade, Chief Executive Officer, SAY IT LOUD AFRICA, has inaugurated the FAJO Foundation as part of activities to mark his 50th birthday.
Oyelade, a Brand and Events Consultant, inaugurated the foundation with an outreach to vulnerable families at an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Abuja.
The foundation, a non-profit organisation, distributed food packages to 90 households during its maiden intervention.
The packages contained essential food items intended to support families of between five and seven members with three meals daily.
Oyelade also interacted with women at the camp to hear their concerns, including challenges affecting their children’s education.
He said the women identified school fees and educational materials as some of their immediate needs.
Responding to the concerns, Oyelade said the foundation would consider supporting some of the identified educational needs in subsequent interventions.
He said the FAJO Foundation would focus its interventions on food security and the empowerment of artisans across communities.
According to him, the foundation will work with relevant partners to develop initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and supporting vulnerable populations.
Oyelade expressed appreciation to individuals and organisations that provided financial and material support for the birthday outreach.
“I want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who generously supported us, both financially and in kind.
“Your contributions made a tangible difference, and I pray that you continue to experience overwhelming support in every area of your lives,” he said.
Oyelade said partnerships would be critical to expanding the foundation’s interventions.
“To truly scale our impact, we are calling on all well-meaning Nigerians, philanthropists, Non Governmental Organisations, and local and international development partners to collaborate with us,” he said.
He said such partnerships would enable the foundation to expand its interventions and reach more vulnerable communities.(NAN) (NAN)
