The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the match was played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The match was full of energy, pressure and fast attacking football, with both teams showing strong desire to collect maximum points.

Jordan started the match with confidence and played with good structure in midfield.

They defended well and tried to hit Algeria on quick counter-attacks. Their hard work paid off in the 36th minute when Nizar Al-Rashdan scored the opening goal.

The goal came after a sharp pass from Mousa Al-Tamari, who broke through Algeria’s defensive line and created space for the finish.

Jordan celebrated the goal with high spirit as they went into halftime leading 1-0.

In the second half, Algeria came back more aggressive and controlled possession better.

They pushed Jordan deep into their half and increased pressure from the wings. Their effort brought results in the 69th minute when Nadhir Benbouali scored the equaliser.

The goal came from a well-delivered cross by captain Riyad Mahrez, who once again showed his experience and vision. Benbouali finished calmly to bring the score to 1-1.

After the equaliser, Algeria continued to dominate the game and looked more dangerous in attack.

Jordan tried to defend strongly, but they struggled to stop Algeria’s movement and quick passing.

In the 82nd minute, Algeria completed their comeback when Amine Gouiri scored the second goal.

The strike came after sustained pressure inside Jordan’s penalty area, giving Algeria a 2-1 lead.

The match also saw strong physical battles in midfield, leading to disciplinary action from the referee.

One player from Jordan Abu Dahab, and one player from Algeria Ramiz larbi Zerrouki, were shown yellow cards for rough challenges during the game, as both sides fought hard to control the tempo.

In the closing minutes, Jordan tried to push forward for an equaliser, but Algeria remained compact in defence and managed the game well until the final whistle.

The win gave Algeria a valuable three points and boosted their chances of progressing from the group stage, while Jordan were left disappointed after losing a match they once led.

Algeria’s patience and attacking quality made the difference in the second half as they turned the game around to secure an important World Cup victory.(NAN)
