Police, NSCDC partner on peace, security in Enugu

The Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mr Sulaiman Balarabe, on Friday said the command would partner the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to maintain peace and security in the State.

Balarabe stated this when he received the new Enugu State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mrs Chinwe Kannu, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

“I will assure you of this command’s continued partnership with other security agencies and relevant stakeholders for the maintenance of the existing peace in Enugu State.

“Security is everybody’s responsibility hence we need to continue to join hands as security agencies in the state for continued peace and security,’’ he said.

Earlier, Kannu said that she was at the command to register her presence with the commissioner of police.

“I am also here to seek for further collaborations between the Police Command and the NSCDC Command in the state,’’ she said.
